Biography
Jas began his music career at the early age of two where upon he began formal studies on the accordion. From ages 3 to 7 he performed at
recitals and festivals throughout northern California.
At age 9 Jas began studies on the guitar and vocal training. At age 13 he joined his first professional band. a 16 piece swing orchestra. By age 16 he had entered the world of night club cover tune band. From age 16 to 22 he played at a variety of venues though out northern California.
In 1979 he formed his first band playing 90% original material. Since that time he has been the organizer and leader for approximately 5 orchestras. His studio recording career began in 1973. Since that time he has released 6 music albums, 1 poetry project and 2 radio theatre stories, of which one received the silver real award.
Jas' music has been used for yoga video, environmental documentaries, animation, and live theatre. He has also produced 4 self help audio projects for known psychics and hypnotherapists as well as A Course in Miracles. In 1991 Jas Joined with award winning travel writer Stan Barr as production engineer for a weekly travel radio show.
From 1986 thru 1996 Jas was engaged in the personal study of fractal math as a formula for musical composition. He is currently studying sacred geometry with artists and physicists. He has two CD's soon to be released. One is with the Bhakti Tribe global orchestra and one is a solo works of song an chant.
Jas is currently living on the big Island of Hawaii.
